Introduced in November 2022, the Community of Hope Health Clinic entered into an agreement with Shelby County Community Services on a Community Development Block Grant.

After months of preparation, the unit has been utilized in Housing Authorities, Churches, Supermarkets, Community Colleges, and other business that give back to the commmunity.
CHHC MMU COORDINATOR
In February 2023, Yareima "Carmen" Valecillos was hired as the first Medical Mobile Unit Coordinator. Currently she handles the logistics of site approval, hiring personnel to work events, and all record keeping.

The CHHC is ADA compliant and is complete with a wheelchair lift for those with mobility issues. The inside of the unit includes a waiting area, restroom and two exam rooms.

Need an interpreter? CHHC has many qualified employees and volunteers who are bilingual and are more than qualified in medical Spanish.

¡HABLAMOS ESPAÑOL!
Not all spaces are created equal. The CHHC Medical Mobile Unit needs room to operate and turn. From the front nose of the transport truck to the bumper of the MMU, the unit is approximately 60' long!

If you would still like our services, there may be other alternatives to having the Mobile Medical Unit.

We are open to festivals, school fairs, community health fairs, flu/COVID-19 vaccine clinics, sports physicals (there will be a charge), and more! Contact the MMU Coordinator to check availability.
